Dedee went on to undertake bits and supporting roles in a lot of films, mostly unmemorable. It was not until 1991, even so, that the actress had her 1st flavor of box office hit when she won a small role in director Garry Marshal’s massive hit Frankie & Johnny. There, she portrayed the cousin of the title role Frankie, which played by her sister Michelle. Two years later, she was cast opposite Michael Douglas in Joel Schumacher’s Falling Down. From 1995 to 1997, Dedee starred as Rachel Blanders, the daughter of fortysomething actress Cybill Sheridan (Cybill Shepherd) on the hit CBS television sitcom “Cybill” (1995-1998). The role brought Dedee popularity. She earned additional fame as Sheri Winston on the comedy series “For Your Love” (1998), opposite Holly Robinson Peete. Also in 1998, she starred with Miles O’Keeffe, Christopher Atkins and Patrick Cherry in the failed feature Shoot.
Next, Dedee located herself acting in such films as The Sky Is Falling (2000), Radical Jack (2000), Meat Loaf: To Hell and Back (2000, TV), Neurotic Tendencies (2001, TV), Titletown (2003, TV) and A Killer Within (2004), way too as in episodes of such popular TV shows as “Friends” (2002) and “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation” (2004). After teaming up with Jason Connery in the horror film Hoboken Hollow (2005), she returned to series TV with recurring roles on “Wanted” (2005), as Lucinda Rose, and “The Dead Zone” (2005-2006), as Linda Finney.
More recently, Dedee appeared as Grace Thomason in an episode of “CSI: NY” (2006). She is set to star in the upcoming television film Vivid Dreams (2006), a thriller helmed by Paul Schneider.
