Erin Mackey is a phase actress/singer, greatest known for playing the role of Glinda in the Chicago, Los Angeles and Broadway productions of Wicked. She is the winner of the 2003 L.A. Music Center’s Spotlight Award for Non-Classical Voice. At Fullerton Children’s Repertory Theater she was spotted by a manager and offered the opportunity to audition professionally for film and TV. Her very first audition was for Disney’s The Parent Trap, in which she was cast as Lindsay Lohan’s acting double. In 2004, after graduating from Fullerton Union Large School, she decided to pursue her main passion, theater, attending Carnegie Mellon University. From 2006 until 2010, she played the role of Glinda in distinct productions of the musical Wicked.
After Wicked, she starred in the refreshing Broadway musical Sondheim on Sondheim, which began previews at Studio 54 on March 19, 2010 and officially opened on April 22, 2010.
